Lahaina Resource Center closed on June 19, 24-26

The County of Maui Office of Recovery’s Lahaina Resource Center will be closed on June 19 and 24-26, 2025.

The center, located at Lahaina Gateway Center in Suite B102, will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday and will reopen on Friday, June 20.

From Tuesday, June 24, through Thursday, June 26, the center will be closed for regular operations to accommodate the Lahaina Town Commercial Area Street Connectivity and Mobility workshops and open houses. During those three days, representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be available in Suite B105, the office next door to the center, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The resource center will reopen on Friday, June 27.

As a reminder, FEMA is ending its in-person staffing at the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement Kākoʻo Maui Relief & Aid Services Center in Kahului and the Lahaina Resource Center. In-person FEMA services at the Kākoʻo Maui center ended on Wednesday, June 18, while FEMA services at the Lahaina Resource Center will cease on Thursday, July 3.

Both facilities will remain open to offer support to wildfire survivors. To view agencies’ hours at the Lahaina Resource Center, as well as additional contact information for those agencies, visit www.mauirecovers.org/getsupport.

Survivors can still contact FEMA by calling its national, toll-free helpline at (800) 621-3362 (7 a.m.-10 p.m., seven days a week) for assistance with general inquiries; contacting their assigned Recertification/Revocations Advisors and/or Disaster Case Managers; and submitting documentation via their online account, mailing letters and supporting files via USPS/mail, or faxing documents to (800) 827-8112 (Attn: FEMA).

The Lahaina Town Commercial Area Street Connectivity and Mobility workshops and open houses are scheduled for June 24-26 in Lahaina. These events, hosted by the Office of Recovery, give the community the opportunity to work with the project’s design team and provide input on the way streets in the commercial core of Lahaina town, including Front Street, are rebuilt.
